HOME SECURITY ROLLER SHUTTERS
For a home in Edinburgh insulation was a priority along with ease of use. New Security recommended the New SecurityShield 150 which is a lighter weight security roller shutter providing heat insulation via double skinned foam filled aluminium slats. The bottom slat also comes with a rubber seal. The roller shutter we installed was electrically operated with remotes, for ease of use, but they can also be supplied as a spring & lock roller shutter or belt operated.
To secure this home in Scotland we used the New SecurityShield 38 Security Roller Shutter. This roller shutter is constructed from extruded aluminium to provide maximum security for homes. On this occasion a manual spring & lock roller shutter was chosen and powder coated white to protect against corrosion and to coordinate with the external paintwork of the house.
A New SecurityShield 38 Roller Shutter was also used for a home in Newcastle. For ease of use the shutters were installed electric with push switch control from inside the house.
One of our customers in Edinburgh wanted enhanced security for their home to give them complete peace of mind after a wave of recent burglaries in the area. The New SecurityShield 3801 Security Roller Shutter delivers advanced protection and is LPCB approved. Enhanced security is achieved through the use of anti-vandal windlocks fitted to the aluminium slats and the shutter is supplied with a lock in the bottom slat or a pair of bullet locks attached to the guide rails. The guide rails are also reinforced with steel sections at the base. The 3801 shutter is supplied electric as standard and as with the New SecurityShield 38 roller shutter it is available in white, cream, brown or black or can be powder coated in almost any colour for a surcharge.
For a customer in Largs Scotland we were asked to supply & fit a security roller shutter that was both suitable for the home & protection against the wind.
New Security recommended The New SecurityShield 7700 Retro fit shutter. This roller shutter is constructed from insulated, foam filled slats and has a wind load classification 3 which protects against wind speeds of up to 73 mph enough to protect against a violent storm! An electric shutter was chosen with push switch control and a manual override just in case there ever was a power cut. Cream laths were chosen to co-ordinate with the rest of the home.
SHOP SECURITY ROLLER SHUTTERS
Our New SecurityVision 38 Security Roller Shutter is ideal for shops & retail wanting to secure their premises & shop windows but also allow potential customers to view products out of trading hours. They are also the preferred shutter of choice recommended by many local councils. We installed this 38 Vision Shutter for a boutique shop in Doncaster to protect 2 bay windows & an entrance door. So as to not obscure the windows the shutters were installed internally, manual shutters for the windows & electric shutters for the door.
SECURITY ROLLER SHUTTERS FOR SCHOOLS, COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES
Plymouth College of Art wanted some security roller shutters to secure the library when not in use and also the college art shop. New Security recommended the New SecurityVision 38 roller shutter which provided the correct level of security & 45% vision. It came with key switches, manual overrides and battery backups in the unlikely event of power failure. The New SecurityVision 38 security roller shutter is ideal when you want to secure or isolate different rooms/areas internally and the vision slats make them more visually appealing.
OFFICE SECURITY ROLLER SHUTTERS
Premises in Nottingham required an electric roller shutter for their office & workshop. This shutter is constructed from 75mm galvanised steel laths which was powder coated grey to reflect corporate colours. We used single phase electric with a safety brake, battery back up & manual override.
Another example of a steel galvanised roller shutter, which we installed for offices in Preston. This time with no powder coating.
New offices in Buckingham required a roller shutter to secure the front of their office. We recommended a manual spring & lock security roller shutter with 38mm slim profile laths. This shutter is manufactured from double skinned extruded aluminium and is available in white, brilliant white, cream, brown or black as standard. This manual roller shutter came with central locking and was powder coated white RAL 9010 to protect against corrosion.
Offices in York wanted an electric operated roller shutter to protect their office door. We supplied & fitted this with key switch control and a battery back up was installed for peace of mind to ensure access into the offices in the unlikely event of a power failure.
Offices in the centre of London wanted to secure their entrance but wanted a more visual appealing shutter than the traditional solid office shutter. This is often now a requirement of local councils who dislike the appearance of a bank of solid steel roller shutters. We recommended the New SecurityVision 38 Security Roller Shutter. The punched laths are constructed from a slim line double skin extruded aluminium slats providing medium security for offices and commercial buildings. The punched laths offer up to 44% vision and can be supplied with polycarbonate glazing if desired. The New SecurityVision 38 Security Roller Shutter is available in white, brilliant white, cream, brown or black aluminium slats as standard but can be powder coated in almost any colour of your choice. The client chose to have their security shutter powder coated in Graphite Grey RAL 7024 to match their Corporate Colours, electric with a key switch control for ease of operation.
Offices in Preston Lancashire needed to secure their part of the property from the rest of the building. We recommended the New SecurityShield CD38 Security Roller Shutter in electric as the slimline 38mm laths look discreet for internal applications, push switch control which is supplied as standard and a manual override to ensure they would always have access to their office if there was ever a power failure.
FIRE RATED SHUTTERS
This 2 hour fire rated shutter was installed for Manchester North General Hospital. Fire shutters are available in 1, 2 or 4 hour integrity rating and have all been tested and approved by Exova Warringtonfire to BS476: Part 22 1987 and BS EN 1634-1: 2008. In the event that a fire alarm is activated the shutter will descend to create a fire resistant barrier allowing for safe evacuation and protecting the premises from the further spread of fire. This fire shutter was constructed using 50mm slimline laths but are also available in 75mm laths. Fire shutters are manufactured from galvanised steel but can be powder coated in a large choice of colours for a surcharge.
Woodland Care Home in Manchester required a 1 hour fire rated roller shutter powder coated in white to match the surrounding decor. This fire shutter also came with a fire control relay and battery back up to ensure the fire shutter continued to work safely even in the unlikely event of a power cut.
A Restaurant in Edinburgh required a 1 hour fire rated shutter to be installed to the exterior of their premises. On this occasion the client opted for the shutter to be in the standard galvanised finish.
